Ready to go All-Out 5*? (luxury trips with Mom)

Do you want to show Mom how much she means to you?   There is no better way than the gift of time, and traveling to a place laden with magic and mystery is only the icing on the cake!

#1:  Heritage Property in the UK

Make your mother feel like a Celtic Queen with a stay in an Scottish Castle.  Set in the Scottish Highlands, there is no shortage of activities, ranging from hikes, shooting, a round of golf topped off by a round of whiskey tasting. You can delve deep into the area’s and the castle’s history, which is depicted in a stunning painting on the ceiling, and as you do so you will add to family lore.

*THIS is where THIS Mom is going to celebrate her next big birthday with her family!*

#2:  An old fort in Bequia (near Barbados)

Bequia is a little known island in the Grenadines, though its splendors will make you wonder why it is such a well-kept secret. You will bed down in an old fort that dates to the British colonization but don’t think for a moment you will be roughing it. The building has has been transformed into a sumptuous inn with amenities galore. Sites worth visiting on the island include Hamilton Fort and, of course, beaches, swimming and snorkeling. What is unique is that you will likely have the spot all to yourselves.

#3:  Bahamian Charter Sailboat

Charter a sailboat  – with a captain of course – from Marsh Harbour.  Sail south to Little Harbour then explore Sandy Cay and Tahiti at Elbow Cay.   Drop the hook by Hopetown with its famous “candy striped” lighthouse, or check out Man-o-War, the reefs at Fowl Cay, Great Guana, or Green Turtle Cay .

You could enjoy months in this island paradise chain and still not see it all!

And it’s all from the helm of your own sailboat – meals and navigation and entertain, done-for-you!

#4:  Villa in Maui

A waterfront villa with a private pool certainly makes the perfect backdrop for an all-out fab family gathering. Imagine sundowners on your own beach while the kids boogie board, or quiet morning coffees shared by the early risers as the rest of the brood sleeps in. Onsite kitchens mean you can host family cooking contests (check our CHOPT idea here), and when you’re ready to go out to explore, Maui’s sailing gunkholes and hidden waterfalls are a jeep ride away.
